Hot Dogs and Luncheon Meat "day12 month 02, 2011"
Processed meats such as hot dogs, luncheon meat, sausages, bacon, pepperoni and other processed meats contain an ingredient call sodium nitrite. Author of the “Grocery Warning Manual,” states that sodium nitrite has no place in the human food chain, because it is considered as a carcinogenic agent. Studies or research done at the University of Hawaii followed approximate two hundred thousand people for seven years; they consumed mostly processed meats, sixty-seven percent showed an increased risk of pancreatic cancer, over people that ate little or no meat. If you like hot dogs, try your health food stores. They should be free of all dyes and sodium nitrite...says Ms. Bettie
