NATURE’ S HEALING NECTAR: RAW HONEY

RAW HONEY and its NATURAL PROPERTIES   " DAY 7th MONTH 2, 2011
Did you know that when raw honey is in its pure state it is filled with antibacterial, antiviral and anti-fungal phytonutrients?    The nutrients in honey are soothing, nourishing, and toning for the digestive system.  It has a laxative property and the enzymes in honey have shown to aid in the healing of gastric ulcers and ease digestive disorders.  The minerals and enzymes in raw honey contain friendly bacteria of lactobacilli in six different species; and bifidobacteria in four different species.   These species of bacteria will help to balance the flora in the digestive tract and neutralize toxins.
Honey tones the liver and regulates the blood sugar.  It has a ratio of 1:1 of fructose to glucose.  It is said that the fructose unlocks the enzyme that converts glucose to glycogen.  The brain needs glycogen for fuel during sleep and physical activity.  If the liver does not provide enough glycogen, the stress hormones will cause muscle proteins to be converted to glycogen and overtime this can cause metabolic stress which will lead to insulin resistance, weight gain, and diabetic.  So, what is glycogen?
Glycogen is the main way the body stores glucose for later use. It is a large molecule produced in the liver, although it is also stored in the muscle and fat cells. After carbohydrate ingestion, more glycogen will be produced, and then released as blood glucose levels fall.
Good eating!!!.....To be continued says Ms Bettie

"... And with honey from  the rock I would have satisfied you." Psalm 81:16
