Powerful medicine foods (Garlic/Onions)
Hippocrates said, “Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food.” Garlic
is a potent medicine food that is known for eliminating worms, dangerous
bacteria, and removes poisonous metals such as lead and cadmium from the body.
It promotes healthy intestinal flora and rid the body of yeasts such as
Candida.
Onions are rich in Quercetin and Chromium. Quercetin is a potent antioxidant
that possesses heart health benefits and protect against free radicals damage.
Chromium is a trace mineral, which lowers blood sugar levels. Onions also
support healthy bones and reduce the risk of osteoporosis, as featured in the
Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry.
For onions to maintain its healing benefits, it must be eaten raw or slightly
cooked.
